Lucas shared vows to Melissa that had everyone’s jaws firmly planted on the lawn of Castle Hill. But the thing is… that wasn’t the first time these two stunned me with their love for each other. We met up for drinks back in June, and from the second I saw how they stared at each other, I knew: this is for eternity.

We also spent an unforgettable morning all together on the coast of Newport this past summer, driving a vintage convertible around. I was privileged to document their love for each other as they snuggled up in the back seat, reflecting through shared stories on their past, present, and future as a team of two.

Because while Melissa and Lucas were celebrating their love for each other, they were also marking the beginning of the next chapter of their road trip together.

Wedding days are filled with ceaseless excitement and energy (which I thrive off of). But I think it’s the small moments outside of the wedding day (calls, cocktails, story sessions) that help me really see the essence of a couple. And to spend a morning with Melissa and Lucas to feel cozy, seen, and peaceful.
