Not many brides would be okay with their wedding film featuring them falling down, but Hannah actually reached out to me after the wedding to insist that this moment be included in her main film. '

To be honest, for a while I struggled with how to make this moment feel appropriate. I didn’t want it to feel clumsy, but most of my attempts to include this moment felt off. Until one day, I let the clip play out for an extra 10 or so seconds, and I noticed dialogue that I had completely missed up until this point: Sam says “Now we got a blooper reel,” to which Hannah replies “No, that has to go in the main cut”. And I knew that was what I had been looking for. To me, it wasn’t Hannah’s fall by itself that made the moment, but how they responded to it. Hannah and Sam embraced this moment and celebrated it. And I think it’s the purest distillation of their relationship.

Hannah and Sam have already faced many challenges together (good and bad) in the time I have known them - and while most couples might get knocked off their feet, they continue to hold each other up and embrace all that life throws at them as essential parts of their story that need to be recognized and appreciated.

This film makes my heart so happy - and I hope it will make yours feel the same.
